Homemade pies & poetry at State Fair

Authors Day at the Wyoming State Fair in Douglas will be held at the Wyoming Products Pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 18, from noon-6 p.m. Readings will be held at 12:30, 2, 3:30, and 5 p.m. in a tent outside the pavilion. You have to purchase a $5 day pass to get into the fair, but there is no additional charge for the readings. Once you’ve heard the writers, come inside to the vendors’ tables, buy a book, and get it signed by the author.

I'll be reading at 12:30, and serving as your trusty emcee for the rest of the readings. Here’s the schedule for the readings:

12:30: Larry K. Brown, Michael Shay, Betty Schmidt, Garry Wallace
2:00: Renee Carrier, Craig Johnson, Tom Rea, Jane Elkington Wohl
3:30: Charlotte Babcock, Julianne Couch, Bob Simkins, Barbara Smith
5:00: Arnetta Baugh, J.D. Boyd, Millie Sparks, Abe Morris
