Mark your calendar -- the 2007 Jefferson-Jackson Dinner and Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Rock Springs Holiday Inn. We have rooms blocked off for $99 a piece. The dinner will begin at 7 p.m. This year's keynote speaker will be the dynamic Democratic speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives, Andrew Romanoff, who can shed light on how Democrats have won both chambers of the legislature and the governor's mansion in a place that was recently a lot like Wyoming -- a solidly red Western state.
I am also pleased to announce that Gov. Dave Freudenthal will be among our honored guests. As always, there will be a Wyoming Democratic State Central Committee meeting in the afternoon before the dinner, and this year we are working on adding some new events (notably, a breakfast event Sunday morning, and possibly a special event earlier Saturday evening), but those details are still being worked out.
Hypertext pioneer Ted Nelson once described people like him with ADHD as having "hummingbird minds."
