Speaking out -- when it wasn't easy

Dennis Kucinich was against the Iraq War way back in 2002, when it wasn't easy, when war critics faced the venomous full-court press from Cheney and Rumsfeld and all the other chickenhawks. He voted against the war then, and continues to do so.

Here's a Kucinich video featuring speeches from those ancient days of 2002-2004: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCviUxgIWB8

The problem with Mr. Kucinich is that he was right. It is interesting now that in the press and on TV they continue to trot out the ones who were wrong to tell us how to fix things (exceptions to Eric Alterman and Keith Olbermann... and Mike Shay, of course, I can vouch for that) Kucinich is way too honest to get elected.

It boggles the imagination to realize how many people were wrong about the Iraq War and how often they appear on TV to tell us how to fix the mess they created. Eric Alerman and Keith Olbermann are fantastic. I also enjoyed Jack Cafferty the other day on CNN. He did an hour-long show to shill his book, but he also has genuine outrage over the war. But as with most in the MSM, he ladles out equal servings of blame to Repubs and Dems. We all know where the blame lies. That's why Olbermann is so righteous.
