Mother's Day -- for peace

The Mother’s Day for Peace organization raises funds to bring war-injured Iraqi children to the U.S. for treatment. They celebrate the spirit of Julia Ward Howe and her dogged fight to create a peace-based Mother’s day holiday following the devastation of America’s Civil War.
