I can only suppose that you did the resort ...Mike,

I can only suppose that you did the resort spiel to add inventory to future writing efforts. Surely you are not aiming to keep alive the line from the great Jimmy Buffet song Migration-"most of the people who retire in Florida..."I will go no further. Besides, Wyoming is listed very high in the best places to retire...

Thanks for the nice shout out to UF. My friend Sandy introduced me to St. Pauli Girl in Gainesville and remember buying it at the walk up window at a store whose name I have since forgotten. Glad to see Florida now has some good craft beers done locally. Shout out to the best craft beer in the US-Kansas City's Boulevard Beer.

Enjoy the Florida weather now that winter is starting to creep in. And as you have found out, $100 is now worth the time-minutes that you will never get back. Much like some of my meetings at work...

Go Gators,

BobRobertPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08759559269928686204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12880671.post-43697073375994864582016-11-20T17:15:12.443-07:002016-11-20T17:15:12.443-07:00I too am disappointed by the election results.
My...I too am disappointed by the election results.

My best friend J.C. (we met at Virginia Tech) and I tried out his new metal detector today in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Afterwards, I showed him the party bus company where I work on weekends and we then headed for the nearest McD and discussed the election.

Given that HRC prevailed in the popular vote, Trump can not claim a mandate.

Years ago H.L Mencken noted that a demagogue is someone who preaches things he knows not to be true to men he knows to be idiots.

In the campaign, Trump took a page from George Wallace, Joseph McCarthy, Huey Long, et al.

The Democratic elite have long scorned Joe Six Pack. Joe Biden has long spoke about such folly, but remained unheeded. On Election Day Joe Six Pack scorned the Democrats.

Did Trump appeal to the baser elements of American society?

Absolutely, but he gave a voice and hope to many folks who did not have it.

He posed as a man of the people and calls to mind what Franklin Roosevelt said about Wendell Wilkie (his Republican opponent in 1940), "Just a simple barefoot Wall Street lawyer."

Trump might campaign well, but he has no idea of the democratic process. He is learning in the weeks leading up to Jan. 20 that his priorities (the very laughable term limits, shipyard bulding, etc.) do not mirror those of Hill Republicans.

The next two years might be rough for Democrats, but Trump's inexperience should alienate most voters by 2018. Dems can take back both houses then.JBARTELLONIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09971180337119881806noreply@blogger.com
